This training is for all disciples of the Temple of Peace and Virtue, from the Dizi to the Daoshi level. 

This will probably be the last training we hold at the Palm Desert Temple, as future trainings will be held at the new monastery in Tennessee.  Come join us as we gather together to bid goodbye to this humble Temple that has helped so many of us in our journeys.

Daoist trainings are attended on a donation basis.  The suggested donation is $800 for a 4 day training, or $1000 for a 5 day training.

Daoist training.  This training is only open to formal Daoist students of Dr. Shannon. 

This training is designed for Tudi and Dizi initiates.  Higher level students are welcome to attend, but should know that the training content will be designed for newer initiates.

This training has been designed for initiates at the Daoshi (Priest) level.  It is only open to formal Daoist students of Shifu Shannon who have been  recognized as Daoist Priests within the Temple of Peace and Virtue.

This 10-day meditation retreat will be held at our new training facility, located outside of Nashville, TN.   The property consists of 369 beautiful and secluded acres that allow for direct contact with all the elemental forces.  

This retreat is open to disciples of the Temple of Peace and Virtue and students (current or previous) of the ICMQ and IMCQ. Extended students (students of our students) are also invited.  Other participants may be allowed with permission.

This training will be geared towards preparing for our trip to China in May, but is open to all Tudi and Dizi initiates.  Higher level students are welcome to attend, but should know that the training content will be designed for newer initiates.

2.     Introduction to a standing posture which activates your Pre-natal Qi
3.     Deeper explanation of the 八大神咒.
4.     Profound Meditation
5.  Review and instruction on several talismans to include: Great Radiance Talisman  大光符，Guan Yin Talisman  观音符, Five Thunder Talisman  五雷符

4.     Discussion and instruction on two more of the Morning Prayers: Relief and Protection from Adversity太上洞玄灵宝升玄消灾护命妙经 and Averting Major Disaster太上灵宝天尊说禳灾度厄真经 
5.     Profound Meditation

This training will be held via Zoom and is open to all who are interested. Times are CENTRAL STANDARD TIME.

• Big Eight Morning Prayers (八大神咒):  A chance to encounter and feel the effects of this important practice
• Dao De Jing (道德经) discussions.
• Qing Cheng Meditation: Learn the first several steps of a very powerful practice which, in China, is taught over a seven-year span. In total it builds the Lower Dantian, balances Fire and Water, places the Emperor upon his/her throne, nourishes the 5 Yin organs, opens the Belt Vessel and Microcosmic Orbit, and stimulates the Upper Dantian.
• Purify the Heart incantation (净心神咒): Learn and chant this: the foundational prayer given to all Daoists. The heart is the “choke point” between Heaven and Earth. Unless it is open the Qi cannot flow freely, which making us, truly, the third treasure of the Dao.
